Role Overview: The Senior Analyst is responsible for supporting the execution of the firm’s acquisition platform by performing financial analyses of multifamily acquisition opportunities, preparing appropriate documents to facilitate the underwriting and closing of real estate transactions, and tracking and reporting on the status of multifamily transactions within the assigned geographic markets.
A Senior Acquisitions Analyst will interface and partner with in-house property and asset management teams, our internal approval committee, brokers, and third-party consultants. This is an individual contributor role that requires close partnership with our Acquisitions team and reports to our Head of Acquisitions.
 
Target Pay: $100,000 to $113,000 + annual discretionary bonus eligible

Key Responsibilities:
  • Model and underwrite potential multifamily investment opportunities by analyzing historical operating information, including rent rolls, income statements, offering memoranda, etc., to generate proforma budgets and cash flow projections.
  • Coordinate with in-house property and asset management teams in preparation of proforma budgets.
  • Manage acquisitions pipeline in Prime’s internal database including organization of marketing materials, relevant dates, broker communications, etc.
  • Manage, monitor and report on the status and progress of the acquisition pipeline, recommending critical timelines and deadlines for tasks and activities related to the proposed transaction, and identify issues or problems that could adversely affect closing.
  • Manage the due diligence processes, including coordination with third-party consultants, analysis of materials and comparison to transaction underwriting.
  • Lead the preparation and presentation of investment memos to the internal approval committee for acquisition pursuits.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to evaluate economic, demographic and real estate market trends in connection with specific investment opportunities and Prime’s overall investment strategy.
  • Maintain and analyze internal database of sales comps, rent comps and other market data.
  • Prepare presentations for company quarterly and annual meetings.
 
Role Requirements:
  • BS/BA degree, or MS in real estate, finance, or a related field is preferred.  
  • 1 – 3 years of relevant work experience that exhibits in-depth knowledge of net present value, DCF, IRR, and other financial concepts is preferred.  
  • Clear, concise verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel modeling. 
  • Drive and ambition to create a meaningful volume of transactions, while not sacrificing quality. 
  • A high sense of urgency and competitiveness.
