Associate or Assistant Director

As an Associate or Assistant Director, you will be responsible for using analysis, communication, critical thinking, and problem solving to oversee (primarily tax credit) development projects and pursue new opportunities. This includes underwriting, deal structuring, closing, development coordination and monitoring, and assisting in the stabilization of projects.  This position is for Tampa, FL.

 

·       Provide financial analysis and underwriting of development opportunities utilizing Excel.

·       Develop and update complex financial models.

·       Prepare investment materials and communicate with investors, lenders, government agencies, and vendors.

·       Review third-party reports and other diligence materials.

·       Manage deal closing process, including preparation of closing statements and coordination among deal participants.

·       Provide financial analysis during the construction process including review of construction draw forms.

·       Assist in the preparation of tax credit and bond financing applications for LIHTC deals in coordination with local counsel and other internal teams.

·       Assist in the preparation of responses to Request for Proposals working in PowerPoint.

 

·       3+ years of relevant experience for the Associate level, 6+ years of relevant experience for the Assistant Director level. 

·       Bachelor’s Degree - Finance, Accounting, Economics, Real Estate or Urban Planning concentration preferred. 

·       Proficiency in Excel. 

·       Organizational skills and ability to advance multiple processes simultaneously. 

·       Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and analytical skills. 

·       Strong work ethic, critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and sense of urgency. 

·       Ability to take ownership and commitment to follow through. 

·       Willingness to travel. 

·       Passionate about affordable / mixed-income housing development. 

·       Highly motivated, diligent and values hard work.
