Job Description
Mack Real Estate Group, LLC (MREG) is an integrated real estate investor, developer, operator and lender. On behalf of institutional and high net worth investors, we make and manage debt and equity investments in real estate and real estate-related securities through multiple business lines and strategies.
Summary
MREG is seeking to add an Analyst to its Capital Raising and Investor Relations team in New York City. The Analyst will join a growing team, gain broad exposure to real estate private equity, and play a critical role in supporting the investor reporting, investor relations and capital raising efforts across MREG’s debt and equity product offerings. The candidate must be highly detail-oriented, intellectually curious, and able to multi-task in a growing, fast-paced business environment.
Essential Functions
- Manage the quarterly private fund reporting process for nine (and growing) real estate funds, which includes preparation, distribution and tracking, and subsequent discussions with institutional and HNWI clients. Suite of products includes equity and credit funds, and specialized tax vehicles (QOZ Funds, and related sidecars)
- Manage routine client deliverables such as distributing tax documents, unique data submissions required by institutional clients, etc.
- Coordinate day-to-day, ad-hoc client requests throughout all stages of the investment lifecycle, including but not limited to investor onboarding, investor portal contact updates, wiring instruction changes, audit requests, etc.
- Support all aspects of investor relations and capital raising across MREG’s debt and equity investment vehicles
- Work closely with all internal teams, including the equity and credit investment teams, finance, legal, and compliance to ensure the integrity of portfolio data, that all materials comply with regulatory requirements, and maintain the firm’s quality of relationship management
- Support the broader investor relations and capital raising team for the annual investor conference and other investor events through material preparation, organization, and project management
- Maintain accurate investor data and track communication in the CRM and investor portal
- Maintain and update firm-wide materials in connection with capital raising and corporate marketing
- Prepare agendas, client briefing memos, presentations, and call reports for client meetings
- Identify and assist with operational and process enhancements within an entrepreneurial style team
- Lead the completion and maintenance of firm-wide and product-specific marketing collateral including PPMs, pitchbooks, case studies, pipelines, track records and other bespoke marketing documents
- Respond to prospective investor due diligence needs by completing RFPs, DDQs, RFIs, consultant questionnaires, and database submissions
- Develop and maintain a strong knowledge of MREG’s investment platform, industry trends, and competitive landscape
- Update, manage, and track investor contacts and log meeting and relationship information in the Firm’s CRM
- Assist in the production of presentations and materials for MREG’s annual investor conference
- Coordinate investor meetings and site visits with existing and prospective institutional investors and prepare meeting materials
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 - 2 years relevant experience, ideally within real estate or alternative investments
- Proven ability to manage tasks with competing priorities and deadlines, independently determining order of priority and self-initiating other value-added tasks
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and CRM systems such as Juniper Square or Salesforce
- Highly resourceful; ability to exercise superior judgment regarding prospect requests
- Intellectually curious with outstanding initiative to self-educate, and precise attention to detail
- Ability to interact with internal and external clients and collaborate internally
- Highest level of integrity and professionalism
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Desires a role on a capital raising and investor relations team with strong potential for career advancement
Required Education
- Bachelor’s degree required.
