Job Description

Olympus Ventures LLC (“Olympus”) is a family office private investment company with several investment strategies. Its Real Estate department oversees a diverse commercial real estate portfolio consisting of core, core-plus, value add and development assets spanning the industrial, office, healthcare, multi-family, and self-storage asset classes. Properties are owned directly or through joint venture investments with qualified operating partners and are geographically dispersed nationally in primary and secondary markets.

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Transaction Analyst – Real Estate will play a key role on the Real Estate team, working across the entire platform, but primarily supporting the Real Estate capital markets function on acquisitions, financing, and dispositions. This person will be integral to facilitating smooth transactions across the firm.

 

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

The primary duties and responsibilities of this position include the following:

 

Capital Markets Support: 

  • The qualified applicant will have the unique opportunity to act as a key contributor in the closing and administration of real estate loan transactions across various loan types and asset types. Additionally, the candidate will also support the greater real estate team if asset acquisitions and dispositions occur across the portfolio.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. These teams include internal staff such as development, asset management and accounting in addition to external teams of brokers, lenders, legal counsel, title company, due-diligence firms, and associated vendors.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Have strong organizational skills and experience developing and maintaining structured systems for file management in Microsoft SharePoint, transaction tracking, and documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness through the deal cycle.
  • Willing to take on a leading role in processes and coordinating activities across multiple teams and stakeholders. Ability to serve as a pivotal point of contact, facilitating communication, and driving forward momentum to ensure timely execution of the transaction.
  • Great written communication skills with a keen ability to convey issues and solutions concisely in emails. Proficient in tracking down action items, following up on outstanding issues, and escalating any priority items.
  • Error-free calculations of fees, allocations (e.g., in settlement statements or closing prorations) and other deal-related analyses will be required. The qualified candidate will want to grow his or her skillset in the analyses associated with driving a transaction.
  • A basic understanding of real estate financial metrics and capital markets processes is a plus.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

Candidates for this position must be able to demonstrate:

  • Minimum Work Experience: 1-3 years related commercial real estate experience, ideally in a capital markets transactions support function.
  • Strong real estate skills, ability to read legal documents, and problem-solving ability.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • The ability to make timely decisions supported by sound analysis, experience, and judgment.
  • The ability to consistently meet internal deadlines, sometimes requiring extended work hours.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Curiosity in anticipating future trends and assessing the impact on our business.

 

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree in real estate, accounting, finance, economics, or related field preferred.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Analytic Skills:

Ability to analyze financial statements and legal documents.

Communication Skills:

Must have strong organization and communication skills (both written and verbal) as the position requires significant interaction with many people.

 

TRAVEL & WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This job is not meant to be worked remotely, although occasional travel may be required.
