Job Description:
• Report to and coordinate directly with Avatar’s COO and General Counsel to Manage all aspects of commercial real estate loans in Avatar’s portfolio
• Communicate directly with Borrowers regarding late payments and other defaults, establish agreements to cure, etc.
• Engage outside counsel and provide necessary loan documentation to initiate foreclosure actions when appropriate
• Oversee a portfolio of loans regarding construction management, escrow holdbacks, reporting requirements, tenants, etc.
• Coordinate and manage property managers on assets Avatar holds as REOs
• Assist in ongoing servicing needs of the portfolio as needed
• Assist in loan closing processes as needed

Experience
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 8-10 years minimum of asset management in commercial or residential real estate including default resolution and foreclosure management
• Experience in the financing, lending, and/or banking industry preferred
• Holistic approach to problem-solving and proactive attitude toward issues that arise
