We are seeking a Managing Director, Asset Management, to join our dynamic and rapidly growing team.  The Managing Director will be responsible for leading HASTA’s asset management and will manage a team of Directors, Associates and Analysts.  The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in multifamily asset management and/or property management.  The Managing Director will report to the COO and will interact frequently with HASTA’s senior leadership.  The position is remote, work from home based, with frequent travel to portfolio properties.

 Responsibilities:

• Lead, manage and develop the careers of team of Directors, Associates and Analysts focused on maximizing value of international multifamily portfolio.
• Monitor portfolio performance while achieving asset value maximization objectives and strategies. Conduct regular site visits to assess property performance, evaluate market conditions, and establish and execute strategic initiatives.
• Lead RFP process for selection of third-party property management companies, negotiate property management agreements and serve as primary owner representative overseeing property management companies.
• Select and manage third party commercial leasing brokers and lead commercial tenant selection, lease negotiations, renewals and CAM reconciliation.
• Collaborate closely with HASTA portfolio management, construction management and financial teams to establish operating performance objectives and execute on operational optimization strategies and capital improvement plans.
• Serve as primary point of contact with joint venture partners.
• Monitor new technologies to implement cutting edge strategies to optimize asset performance and maximize value.
• Lead annual operational and capital budgeting process.
• Work closely with acquisition team on budgeting and due diligence for new property acquisitions.
• Position is work from home and may be based anywhere in the US.  The position entails frequent travel to HASTA properties and occasional travel to HASTA's Mexico City headquarters.

Experience & Educational Requirements:

• Comprehensive experience in multifamily asset management and/or property management
• Familiarity with institutional property management and asset management processes
• Bachelor's degree required, MBA/JD/MS preferred
