Job Description

Overview:

CCM Real Estate, a private equity real estate investor (and part of the CCM Group), is seeking a Senior Analyst to be responsible for analysis of real estate acquisitions, joint ventures, development projects, operating properties, and dispositions. The Senior Analyst will primarily support the Asset Management & Investment Team and report to the Vice President(s). Additionally, the Senior Analyst will support the Principals and CFO on special projects from time to time.

Primary Responsibilities:

 

  • Create and maintain financial models for potential investments, joint ventures, and existing investments to determine key performance metrics such as return on cost, cash on cash returns, IRR, and equity multiple 
  • Perform sensitivity and scenario analyses, including hold/sell scenarios and DCF analysis
  • Assist with all aspects of due diligence, including gathering and evaluating economic and market data
  • Review operating budgets and property financials, provide variance reviews, and highlight areas of concern and/or opportunity for existing assets
  • Update annual business plans including valuations and cash flow forecasting
  • Produce quarterly investor reports
  • Assist and provide inputs for investment memorandums
  • Implement and maintain software utilized for portfolio management, including loan portals and investor relations
  • Travel to properties and site tours (limited)
  • Develop relationships with partners and industry participants

 

Qualifications/Experience:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Mathematics, Economics or related field
  • 2-5 years relevant experience in commercial real estate investment
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel & ARGUS Enterprise software
  • Understanding of the macro and micro drivers of real estate values across sectors and their use in effectively underwriting transactions and monitoring portfolio investments
  • Experience with acquisition, joint venture, development, and disposition underwriting and due diligence
  • Familiarity with multiple asset types (ie: retail, mixed-use, residential, industrial, hospitality, and self-storage) and commercial leases a plus
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Positive attitude and desire to take ownership of work product
