Job Description
The Investor Relations Associate will work directly with the CIO on capital activities, business development, fundraising, investor relations, and other growth initiatives. The role will be based Dallas with periodic travel to other Dalfen offices. Associates have the opportunity to participate in numerous aspects of real estate private equity and are expected to play an integral role on their teams.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Support global private equity capital formation strategies and activities, primarily focused on many of the largest and most sophisticated institutional investors in the world, as well as large joint ventures, revolving credit facilities, and other strategic partnerships
- Conduct detailed financial analysis and projections related to strategic recommendations and growth initiatives; then support their implementation
- Work directly with the CIO on numerous initiatives critical to the firm’s continued expansion
- Regularly draft and update compelling marketing materials and reports, as well as help prepare for meetings with many of the firm’s most valued clients
- Draft investor responses, as well as seek and draft responses to frequent investor proposals
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative analyses, including underwriting, projections, waterfall calculations, etc.
- Perform market research and analysis
Qualifications:
The successful applicant will have the following qualities / experience:
- Master’s or bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or real estate
- Strong understanding and hands-on exposure to private equity, commercial real estate, and/or investor relations
- High attention to detail
- 1-4 years of working experience (within private equity, private capital advisory, investing, or investment banking)
- Excellent financial analysis skills, with the ability to produce accurate models and marketing materials quickly
- Strong experience working in Microsoft Excel modeling, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
- Advanced writing skills
- Adaptable, able to seamlessly transition between multiple topic areas
- Driven, creative, and well-rounded with exemplary integrity
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and effective time management skills
Desirables:
- Experience working within a private equity firm/ commercial real estate
- An understanding of capital raising practices and principles
