The Role 

We’re looking for an energetic, entrepreneurial-minded Estimator to join our growing team. As an Estimator you’ll be responsible for commercial construction projects with a focus on Data Centers, so you must be familiar with a wide range of worksites, cost structures, and timelines. Your job duties include surveying potential worksites; collaborating with contractors, vendors, and labor agencies; and providing a comprehensive cost analysis for potential clients. Every estimate needs to address all relevant governmental regulations. You'll need to be able to present your estimates to stakeholders and clients.


What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Create comprehensive cost estimates for a wide variety of construction projects, including materials, labor and equipment costs.

  • Thorough understanding of approaches to construction pricing and delivery methods; engage in design reviews and spearhead value engineering assessments to meet budget objectives. Collaborate closely with engineering teams, actively participating in design and construction meetings to influence cost-effective design solutions.

  • Interfacing with clients and project managers to define cost requirements, goals and issue recommendations where needed. 

  • Collaborate with construction & project management teams to develop accurate timelines. 

  • Survey potential sites for suitability and associated cost.

  • Verify vendor and subcontractor estimates fall within the defined scope.

  • Review invoices for review/approval.

  • Create estimates for all necessary insurance considerations.

  • Maintain client confidentiality.

  • 5-10 years of experience in construction management, engineering or project management. 

  • Prior experience as an estimator and general contractor.

  • Proficiency with procurement and vendor management. 

  • In-depth knowledge of construction practices related to data centers. 

  • Optimistic, integrity-driven approach to getting results and exceeding expectations.

  • Entrepreneurial spirit for tenaciously and proactively solving project challenges and enhancing the client experience. 

  • A team-builder with a positive attitude and strong attention to detail.

  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment, juggling multiple priorities, while driving decisions and alignment with leadership, direct reports, and cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to motivate and lead growing teams to perform at the highest level of excellence.

  • Experience with Microsoft Project, Excel, and Word.

  • Proficiency with cost-estimating software.
