Job Description

Triumph Properties Group, a Beverly Hills, family owned, real estate investment company has an excellent opportunity for a Chief Financial Officer to work directly with the owners to manage key areas of the Company, as well as assist with real estate acquisitions and expansion of the business. The Company is seeking a candidate who is looking for a long-term role with long-term growth opportunity as an intrinsic member of the Management Team. The role is a strategic role, requiring an understanding of the company’s strategic goals and operations while managing the financial and administrative details to meet those goals. The owners also have a portfolio of investments in private equity, venture capital, hedge funds equities and bonds. The CFO will also be involved in monitoring the performance of those investments.

 

Major Job responsibilities:

 

  • Cash Management and primary liaison with banks and lenders; including reconciliation of historical sources/uses to cash balances, and future cash flow forecasting.

 

  • Review financial performance of real estate assets and preparation of consolidated reports for owners.

 

  • Evaluate and monitor the performance of the family investments in private equity, venture capital, hedge funds, and equities. Liaise with investment advisors to ensure accurate reporting. 

 

  • Prepare annual budgets for all entities together with Company’s owners and executive team

 

  • Oversight of Corporate Office including Controller and Accounting department, Human Resources and General Administration.

 

  • Work with Director of Acquisitions on closing real estate acquisitions and loan transactions including preparation of loan materials.

 

  • Maintain family’s trusts and organizational structure and coordinate as needed with trust attorneys and outside CPA.

 

  • Prepare together with company Controller tax information for Company’s outside accountants.

 

Requirements

 

·       10+ years of experience working for, or as close advisor to, mid-size family-owned real estate companies.

 

·        Bachelor’s degree required, CPA strongly preferred. Proficient understanding of accounting and tax principles a MUST.

 

·        Solid understanding of, Partnerships, Limited Liability Companies (LLC), S-Corporations; helpful if knowledgeable in trusts and foundations and an understanding of the relationship between various entities within the Company.

 

·        Experience hiring and managing a team, including performance management.

 

·        Budgeting, fiscal management principles and procedures for both for-profit and nonprofit entities

 

·        Proficiency with computers and relevant software applications, e.g. ERP systems; Yardi experience a plus
