The New York City School Construction Authority (SCA) is the organization responsible for designing and building new public schools and managing the design, construction, and renovation of capital improvement projects in New York City’s more than 1200 school buildings. The SCA is dedicated to building and modernizing schools in a responsible, cost-effective manner while achieving the highest standards of excellence, safety, quality, and integrity.
We have an excellent opportunity for an Administrative Coordinator with Real Estate experience to support the Real Estate Services team in their work to lease and acquire new school sites, lease renewals and associated due diligence and regulatory approvals.
EXPERIENCE IN REAL ESTATE REQUIRED
Responsibilities include:
Update, maintain and track data relevant to New York City School Construction Authority projects and operations.
Prepare, assemble, file, copy and distribute leases, reports, memos, correspondences, etc.
Prepare initial drafts of correspondences for Business Manager review/approval to distribute SEQR and other reports. Place SEQR documentation on the NYCSCA website.
Prepare initial drafts of Site Selection packages and associated correspondences for review/approval by Business Manager. Place required ads in newspapers of record.
Maintain a record of public comments received during the SCA’s site selection process.
Issue Authorizations to Proceed (ATP) and process Requests for Payment (RFP) for consultant assignments, track project budgets, and assist consultants with any issues with the RCMS system.
Process billing for a variety of services and goods through the Oracle system.
Submit requests for due diligence through the IEH Environmental Information System (EnFo).
Issue memorandums for contractual budgetary needs.
Allocate the Real Estate vehicle to other SCA members when needed and maintain a record in the eFleet system. Schedule the vehicle for maintenance and/or repair.
Maintain and /or order supplies, open and distribute mail.
EXPERIENCE IN REAL ESTATE REQUIRED
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or its educational equivalent
Five years of full-time progressively more responsible and complex administrative or clerical/secretarial experience; two years MUST have been in either a supervisory capacity or reporting to a high level executive

Salary:
Appointment Rate: $61,726 (Less than 2 years of active public service experience)
Incumbent Rate: $70,985 (2 years or more of active public service experience)
