Stockbridge is an established real estate investment management firm with over $33 billion in AUM (which has doubled over the past 3 years) across a wide range of investment strategies and asset types across the U.S. with offices in San Francisco, Atlanta, and Chicago.
This role is part of the Core and Value-Add (“CVA”) platform, which includes both funds and separate accounts with asset strategies ranging from core to value-add to ground-up development. The Vice President will assist the Portfolio Management team of the closed-end Value Fund Series and work closely with the national Asset Management team. This role will report to the Senior Vice President and will be supported by a team of Analysts and Associates. This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing Fund series!
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Strategic review of portfolio positioning to include regular management of portfolio diversification and risk exposure and review of hold-sell opportunities within capital markets and valuations context.
- Asset Management coordination and oversight regarding portfolio strategy and developing best practices, coordinating execution of renovations and repositioning stategies, directing further review of business alternatives and ultimately ensuring business plan execution.
- Oversight of Portfolio Management team work to review property-level projections, fund projections, future capital requirements, quarterly and annual reports and input on quarterly valuations.
- Capital Markets oversight to review and manage asset and portfolio-level financing strategies, DSCR projections and implement and monitor hedging strategies.
- Fundraising responsibilities to assist in due diligence for future vehicles and provide Marketing guidance/support on DDQs, prospective requests and marketing material updates.
- All candidates must have a BA or BS degree from an accredited institution, with preferred degrees in real estate, finance, business, accounting, economics, or related area. Must have strong academic credentials.
- 7-10 years of real estate/finance experience, preferably including one or more of the following: acquisitions, asset management, dispositions, portfolio analysis, cash flow forecasting.
- Strong and demonstrated analytical skills.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Effective writing skills and ability to synthesize information.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to mentor and guide a junior team.
- Strong sense of personal motivation, accountability, responsibility, and entrepreneurship.
- Ability to function both in a team-oriented setting, and independently.
Travel:
Travel required for periodic property site visits.
Compensation:
Competitive. The base pay scale for this position is $175,000 to $215,000 annually. Stockbridge’s base pay scale depends on geographic location, business line, years of experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
