Gindi Equities was formed by the principals of ASG Equities and Century 21 Stores as a direct investment vehicle for multifamily assets. Gindi Equities is seeking a full-time Acquisitions and Asset Management Senior Analyst/Associate. Acquisitions will be the core function; however, the role will be dynamic and have components of asset management and investor relations. This is a high-impact and high-visibility position that will have significant opportunities for growth and career advancement. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with senior leaders, assume significant responsibilities, and make vital impacts by assisting in all aspects of the investment process.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of financial analyses for prospective real estate investments including detailed cash flow projections, market and property level due diligence, and capital structuring.
- Create business plans, detailed analysis, and investment memorandums to support investment theses and models.
- Conduct market research to assess trends, supply and demand dynamics, and competitive landscape for potential investment opportunities.
- Establish and maintain relationships with brokers, owners, and lenders to identify and source new opportunities.
- Participate in the closing process including but not limited to; review third-party reports and other relevant documents, work with lender and title to provide necessary information to ensure a timely and organized process.
- Assist in the preparation of asset management reports, investor communications and presentations to provide updates on asset performance and strategies.
- Monitor the performance of existing multifamily assets, including analyzing financial statements, operational reports, and property performance indicators.
- Support with ad hoc acquisition, asset management, and other operational tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from a leading university with a major in finance, economics, or related field.
- 1-2+ years of experience in a real estate related finance role – preferably acquisitions, investment banking, capital markets, or investment sales.
- Advanced financial modeling capability. The interview process will include a modeling test.
- Strong Power Point skills with experience creating institutional-quality presentations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Highly motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic and the ability to work effectively as part of a growing, dynamic team.
- Extremely high level of attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work independently, prioritize, and multi-task.
- Prior experience with multifamily real estate is preferred but not required. Candidates with strong technical skills, fundamental understanding, and desire to learn will be considered.
Please note this is an in-office position with some flexibility to work from home. Our offices are in Lower Manhattan.
