Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
The purpose of this position is to provide support and oversight within the HSE (Health, Safety and Environmental) program. This role will also act as the Fleet Program Lead.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides functional support duties (clerical/technical) relative to environmental, health and safety regulatory compliance, as assigned by the HSE Manager/Supervisor.
May assist in providing specific support for monitoring injury, illness, and incident related performance.
May assist in the maintenance of HSE plans, playbooks and procedures.
Oversee the fleet program, including driving and reporting. Work with technicians and engineers and provide monthly updates to management.
Supports cost reduction and quality improvement initiatives as directed.
Supports compliance and the Principles of Responsibility (Client Code of Conduct) by maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of information, protecting the assets of the organization, acting with ethics and integrity, reporting non-compliance and adhering to applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations, accreditation and client policies and procedures.
Performs duties related to the hazard identification and control process, safe work planning, inspection and assessment, incident investigation, hazardous materials/waste management, emergency preparedness, fire/life safety, ergonomics, industrial hygiene, training, safe work procedure development, and regulatory compliance recordkeeping and documentation.
Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required. Minimum of 1 year of HSE related experience preferred. Fundamental knowledge of federal, state and local health and safety, and environmental regulations preferred. Experience working in manufacturing, construction, and facility maintenance and management is beneficial.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisor.
FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE
Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to understand and carry out general instructions. Ability to solve problems in standard situations. Requires basic analytical skills.
OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES
Ability to follow detailed instructions and work in a timely manner.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the HSE Technician position is $50,000 annually [or $24.04 per hour] and the maximum salary for the HSE Technician position is $65,000 annually [or $31.25 per hour]. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE's applicable benefit program.
