JOB SUMMARY:

Performs non-technical light maintenance, housekeeping, occupancy and custodial duties under direct supervision.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Complies with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agencies, and Company directives related to building operations and work safety.
  • Performs various ad hoc assignments: minor repairs to file cabinets, office furniture, keyboard tray installation, ceiling tile replacement, and carpet tile replacement.
  • Performs general labor work as assigned, including loading, unloading, and moving materials. Supports internal moves through delivery and collection of crates and other packing supplies.
  • Supports internal moves through delivery and collection of crates and other packing supplies. Delivers keys and nameplates.
  • Manages inventory of storage rooms to ensure contents are accounted for and orderly at all times.
  • Maintains key inventory, provides replacements, and responds to desk and office lockouts.
  • Performs housekeeping functions and maintains the professional appearance of the property, equipment, engineering spaces, and common areas.
  • Assists maintenance staff, engineers, and company vendors as requested. Escort vendors as directed and review completed work.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or GED. 1 - 2 years experience.

CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES
  • May require valid driver's license.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisor.
FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE

  • Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages.
REASONING ABILITY
  • Ability to understand and carry out general instructions in standard situations. Ability to solve problems in standard situations. Requires basic analytical skills.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES
  • Basic skills with Microsoft Office Outlook. Physical requirements include stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs / ladders and ability to lift / carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.

  • Decisions made with general understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to co-workers and supervisor.
SAFETY
  • Responsible for personal safety and the safety of those who are affected by your work. This includes but is not limited to:
  1. Complete all required and assigned HSE training at a satisfactory level,
  2. Follow all activity policies and procedures, including all HSE-related requirements at all times,
  3. Participate in all HSE-related programs & activities as required, including incident investigations, interviews, auditing and assessment, etc.
  4. Report any conditions that could result in an accident or injury and / or stop work if required.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Day Porter position is $32,900 annually or $15.82 per hour, and the maximum salary for the Day porter position is $55,000 annually or $26.44 per hour. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE's applicable benefit program.
