Job Description
The Debt Capital Markets team secure funds for acquisitions, refinancing existing debt, back leverage for lending investments and special projects. The team operates in a rapidly moving environment and works closely with our portfolio companies. As part of the Debt Capital Markets Team, you will gain significant exposure to both internal and external stakeholders including banks, investors and rating agencies across a range of debt structures.
This position is based in Buckhead (Atlanta) Georgia. Salary range: $70,000 - 80,000
Essential functions:
- Support the Debt Capital Markets Manager(s) in the execution of alternative financing and refinancing options to diversify the group funding structure
- Assists in the preparation of financial models
- Participate and support the on-going management of existing debt facilities
- Preparation of internal and external presentations
- Support the preparation of investor and due diligence reports and other stakeholder reporting
- Partner with internal departments to provide reporting, resolve issues and work on cross-functional projects
- Build and maintain relationships with third parties (banks, investors, rating agencies)
- Responsible for preparation of cash models
- Build cross-functional relationships with internal stakeholders and work on cross-functional projects where necessary
- Provide analytical support on special projects within the Debt Capital Markets Team as appropriate
- Coordinate with the wider Treasury Team on collaborative processes
- Updating and looking at databases to identify potential counterparties. This information will be used for marketing purposes to aid in the origination efforts of the team
- Participation in execution involving; negotiating the terms of the deal and liaising with internal teams to completion of documentation (onboarding, document reviews and client servicing for the duration of the deal). As needed, coordinating with third parties in due diligence process
Education and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, finance, accounting, or related field
- Previous experience in real estate mortgage credit and an understanding of capital structures is preferred
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to multi-task, prioritizing work and mange competing deadlines
- Strong attention to detail
