OVERVIEW
Warren Avenue Investors is seeking a Summer Analyst to support the Investment Team across acquisitions, developments, and asset management. Warren Avenue is a fast growing and well-capitalized owner, operator, and developer of life sciences real estate. Led by Matt McDevitt – a founder of BioMed Realty Trust and 30+ year veteran of the life sciences real estate industry – our team has a proven track record of successfully acquiring, developing, and managing mission critical facilities across a variety of markets and all phases of the investment life cycle. As specialists in life sciences real estate, our knowledge extends beyond core real estate fundamentals and into areas of emerging and established scientific production.
This opportunity requires a motivated self-starter with the ability to produce high-quality work product and team support.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide analytical support across investments, asset management, development, and corporate strategy
- Support the Investments Team in evaluating and underwriting life sciences real estate investments, including new acquisitions, financings, refinancings, and dispositions
- Analyze market data on an ongoing basis for target markets – including relevant capital market and leasing data, scientific demand generators, market fundamentals, and more
- Support all property acquisitions by participating in the due diligence process
- Assist with the preparation of investment committee memos for proposed acquisitions as well as corporate reporting packages for assets under management
REQUIREMENTS
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree from a top undergraduate program (rising Senior or Junior)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Polished organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work independently and proactively
- Exceptional professional communication and inter-personal skills; ability to interact with counterparts and senior members of the Company as well as outside of the firm
- Possess a high level of motivation, initiative, and leadership potential
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word; Argus experience is a plus
- Philadelphia-area based employment; some travel required
