JOB DESCRIPTION:
AMCO & AMSH are seeking to add an investment Associate to the Atlanta, GA based Investment Team to assist with the development, acquisitions, and investment activities of the companies. This position offers an opportunity to work across multiple asset classes with a dynamic team and strong growth potential.
- Investment Associate will help prepare financial models and analysis on prospective multi-family, for-sale and hospitality asset acquisitions and development opportunities including market analysis, lease analysis, budget creation and return on investment analysis including joint venture waterfall analysis.
- Investment Analyst will conduct in-depth property-level, market, and industry due diligence and advise on the merits and considerations of each perspective investment.
- Investment Associate will help produce internal memos for deal evaluation and participate with principals in meetings to consider potential acquisition and development opportunities.
- Investment Associate will be responsible for conducting market research including interfacing with brokers to obtain comparable lease and sales information.
- Investment Associate will produce marketing materials and presentations to prospective institutional investors and lenders.
- Investment Associate will interface with brokers, joint venture partners, attorneys, lenders, and other market participants.
REPORTING STRUCTURE:
- Investment Associate will report to the Director of Investments
COMPENSATION:
- Competitive Salary based upon experience and qualifications.
- Eligible for annual bonus.
PREFERRED WORK EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES:
- Bachelor’s degree required with a preference for real estate, finance, business, or accounting. Master’s degree in business or finance preferred.
- Ideally 3-5 years of work experience in real estate lending, acquisitions, development, or real estate private equity.
- Outstanding proficiency in creating complex financial models for real estate financial analysis using Excel, including knowledge of advanced Excel functions and waterfalls.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Willing to travel to tour properties, sites, and markets.
