Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent degree required
- 3-5 years of experience working in real estate asset management, investor relations including working directly with private fund investors, client service, equity research, investment banking or related field
- A strong financial background with a fundamental understanding of real estate valuation metrics, including creating value and variance analysis, and an ability to synthesize complicated financial data into a simple story/message
- Superior quantitative, analytical and presentation skills required, with exceptional attention to detail
- Exceptional organizational, verbal and written communication skills, and ability to manage high-priority initiatives simultaneously while maintaining the highest standards of work product and adhering to strict deadlines
- Strategic thinker who can collaborate effectively with investors and other partners
- Highly motivated, proactive self-starter with ability to work both independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Advanced working knowledge of Word, Excel, PPT
- Experience with Argus Enterprise and real estate accounting systems (Yardi a plus)
- Experience communicating and negotiating with wealthy clientele, lenders, and/or financial sophisticated audiences.
Responsibilities:
- Perform a cross-functional asset management and investor relations role for a growing and diverse portfolio of real estate assets in multiple markets.
- Analyze the performance of current assets against business plans, including monitoring income and expenses, leasing/sales targets, etc.
- Identify trends and develop strategies for enhancing returns
- Prepare investor reports, presentations, and communications, including quarterly fund investor reports, quarterly call presentations, quarterly case studies, annual meeting presentations, investor meeting presentations, investor meeting materials, fund/transaction updates, investment summary write-ups, economic outlooks, marketing materials, ad hoc reports, presentations, and communications
- Liaise with internal accounting team and borrower parties, including in the preparation of annual property audits, monthly draws and capital transactions, external disclosures including quarterly earnings release as well as quarterly and annual filings
- Frequently communicate with property management to provide effective property oversight
- Coordinate and collaborate with multiple teams to complete investor requests and ensure consistent, proactive, timely, professional and accurate investor interactions
- Analyze market data to identify opportunities and develop strategies to grow the AH portfolio, including performing feasibility studies of alternative investments
- Create business plans for new investment opportunities, including modeling of scenarios to understand asset performance versus the portfolio and submarket and portfolio performance versus competitors and the submarket using KPIs and/or other metrics
- Summarize relevant information and develop customized meeting materials for partners to facilitate personalized, thoughtful discussions with key strategic relationships
- Function as a point of contact for various types of AH capital partners, including international, national and local debt and equity providers
- Fulfill requests and complete documentation related to deal level marketing, fundraising, subscriptions, capital calls, transfers, distributions, and fund redemptions – both investment manager and investor-related
- Support function of coordinating and distributing client communications pertaining to investment summaries, fund performance and marketing materials, as well as other general mailings
- Prepared to liaise, in person and or over email, phone and zoom communication, with capital providers, investors, partners, and/or their affiliates who are invested in an AH venture.
