Job Description
Primary Function
The Analyst will be responsible for supporting and enhancing the Asset Management team’s efforts to:
- Successfully execute on asset-level business plans and budgets through coordination with several internal departments and external parties (including joint venture partners, lenders and borrowers)
- Maximize the long-term asset value of the Company’s investments (both equity and debt)
Primary Responsibilities
- Day-to-day responsibilities include working with complex financial models, performing financial analyses and valuations, and reviewing partnership and loan legal documentation
- Review and process financial information related to lease analyses, tenant financial viability, capital calls, cash distributions, loan draws, real estate tax assessments and asset appraisals
- Prepare regular and /or ad-hoc reporting to joint venture partners and lenders
- Ongoing communication with various borrowers in order to prepare quarterly and annual debt investment fund presentations for Senior Management and Fund Investors
- Coordinate with Acquisitions team for on-boarding of new acquisitions and off-boarding of dispositions
- Coordinate with internal departments (including Leasing, Acquisitions, Property Management, Accounting, Finance, Legal and Construction) and third parties to obtain, process and analyze the information necessary to assist in the successful execution of asset-level business plans and property budgeting
- Work with all members of the Asset Management Team and have opportunities to interact with senior management of Paramount’s various departments
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related fields
- 1-3 years of progressive commercial real estate financial analysis experience required
- Experience with financial modeling, accounting and valuation required
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Expertise in working with complex Argus and Excel models and PowerPoint required
- Demonstrate analytical skills and understanding of commercial real estate, leasing, finance, and accounting
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work in dynamic and collaborative environment
- Good organizational skills coupled with ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines
Internal and External Contacts
- Regularly interfaces both verbally, and in writing with aforementioned internal departments
