CLO Analyst/Associate, Capital Markets

Job Description

Job Summary: Analyst will support the CRE Capital Markets team, which primarily focuses on syndication and financing for the real estate investment lending business. The Analyst will generally be working on duties outlined below:

 

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities*:

• General support of CRE Capital Markets team with initial focus on collateralized loan obligations (CLOs). Analyst will be a key team member in executing CLOs. Execution includes
  • Analysis and modeling of property- and portfolio-level underwriting;
  • Coordinating with internal parties for due diligence and document requests;
  • Liaising with third-party diligence provider on documentation, and reviewing asset summaries for the Term Sheet;
  • Organization and coordination of rating agency and bond investor question and answer process;
  • Prepare and present for rating agency haircut and investor roadshow calls;
  • Organize and maintain due diligence and other questionnaires.
• Assist with all aspects of syndication, pricing, and financing for the real estate investment lending business.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Demonstrated understanding of commercial real estate underwriting of cash flows for all property types;
• Well-developed analytical skills with strong written and verbal communication capabilities;
• Ability to manage multiple work flows, work closely with others as well as independently to produce accurate, detailed work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment;
• Excellent organizational skills;
• Self-starter and self-motivated;
• Advanced knowledge of Excel, Argus, and PowerPoint is a must with knowledge of VBA helpful but not required.

Education and Experience:

• 1 to 3 years’ experience in commercial real estate. Direct experience in underwriting a must while experience in syndication and capital markets is a plus;
• Bachelor’s degree with a focus in Finance or Economics preferred.
