Job Description

CBRE is looking for a talented Commissioning Agent for our Dallas, Texas. location.

This is not a remote role. Candidate will need to be in the greater Dallas area to perform this role.

The Commissioning Agent:

Implements the commissioning process for building systems such as HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Controls, and Low Voltage.

Reviews designs, submittals, and O&Ms. Write custom checklists and detailed testing procedures.

Inspects installation in the field and witness functional testing on site.

Facilitates O&M staff training sessions.

Documents process in formal reports.

Supports project team by delivering building commissioning services that require application of standard techniques for a small project or selected segments of a larger one.

Reviews, develops, and collates construction project related reports and deliverable documentation for review and approval.

Performs on-site inspection, testing, validation and verification of building systems.

Reviews construction related design documents, drawings and specifications for approval.

Plans, chairs and documents all project commissioning meetings.

Verifies design documents, equipment submittals and measured performance are consistent with the specifications and client's operation requirements.

Performs onsite observations relating to installation of building systems; prepares associated documentation for approval.

On smaller projects, directs onsite system testing and monitoring of complex and integrated systems.

Other duties as assigned.

No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. Coordinates and assigns tasks to co-workers within a work unit and/or project team. Leads project teams and/or plan, and supervise assignments of lower level employees. May have responsibility for identifying training needs, tracking performance, coaching, and motivating a work unit and/or group.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's Degree in relevant business, science, or equivalent plus appropriate continuing education or 5 years commissioning experience; or 7+ years specific construction trade experience.

Preferred but not required- LEED AP, BCA ACP, OSHA 10 hour Construction Safety.

Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex business documents. Ability to respond effectively to sensitive issues. Ability to write reports, manuals, speeches and articles using distinctive style. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees, clients and/or public groups. Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees and client groups to take desired action.

Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and/or commissions. Conducts basic financial analysis.

Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills.
