The Role:
The SVP of Real Estate Development of US Concerts is responsible for determining the venue expansion strategy of the concerts business in conjunction with business unit leaders and venue operators. Informed by connectivity and insight into market dynamics, this executive will be responsible for selecting new concert venues and locations based on their understanding of market trends, demographics, and regional preferences, among other factors. The selection of new real estate venues as well as maintenance and re-negotiations of existing properties, requires both rigor and focus as well as superior communication and finance skills. The SVP Real Estate Development will lead her/his team with vision, and at the same time, approach the role with humility and thoughtfulness.
Responsibilities:
- Originating and executing real estate deals with financial rigor and an investment mindset;
- Building and nurturing partnerships with regional and local real estate communities such as developers, brokers, municipalities, and investors;
- Being proactive and highly mobile, traveling across the country and leading all transactional and development aspects of the real estate expansion effort;
- Working closely with multiple stakeholders internally and externally, in addition to coordinating complex relationships with operations, construction managers, developers, lawyers, architects, government agents, amongst others.
Qualifications:
- 10 plus years of experience in real estate asset management and development.
- Live entertainment or multi-unit hospitality industry experience is preferred.
- Balance between financial acumen and real estate knowhow, driving focus to the most important initiatives for the greatest impact to Live Nation.
- Demonstrated entrepreneurial approach to business process, balancing control with flexibility, procedure with simplicity, and willingness to innovate and change while creating an environment of rigor and discipline.
- Hands-on, execution-driven leadership style, with a strong focus on test-learn and working on proven ideas.
- Ability and willingness to travel frequently is required.
- Extraordinary leadership traits and the ability to motivate and drive execution, as well as build great relationships with other partners.
