About the Company

The Fleets and Facilities Department includes five divisions – Capital Programs; Facility Operations; Finance and Administration; Fleet Services; and Real Estate Services. With an annual budget of more than $80 million, and a staff of more than 300 employees, the Department is responsible for providing services to other city departments and directly to the public, through management of the City’s non-utility real estate portfolio; construction and maintenance of City facilities; and purchase, maintenance and repair of the City’s vehicles. The Department’s current focus is on addressing the Mayor’s priorities through implementation of the City’s “Clean, Green Fleet Action Plan”, which includes acquisition of advanced technology and alternative fuel vehicles; by renovation and rehabilitation of the City’s public safety facilities; and by protecting and conserving the region’s environmental resources through a commitment to sustainable building.
