OneWest

OneWest is a nonprofit community development corporation working to establish new pathways to private and public capital, to generate sustainable economic development and neighborhood revitalization in West Louisville, in partnership with community residents. Created in 2014, the goal of OneWest is to serve as a catalyst for an economically vibrant West Louisville — home to more than 60,000 of the city’s residents and encompassing nine historic neighborhoods. By focusing on land use, infrastructure needs, urban design and an overall improved “sense of place,” OneWest’s mission is bringing a shared prosperity back to the neighborhoods and people of West Louisville. Backed by a strong board of directors and supporting staff, OneWest is well-positioned to affect positive change focused on built environment — the physical surroundings and infrastructure where people live, work, and play.

OneWest is in the heart of West Louisville’s nine neighborhoods, Algonquin, California, Chickasaw, Park Duvalle, Park Hill, Parkland, Portland, Russell, and Shawnee. By developing collaborations, engaging residents, and applying private and public resources to important projects and initiatives, OneWest is making a critical decision to ensure that West Louisville will flourish.
