Raintree Partners

Raintree Partners is a real estate development, investment and operating company based in Orange County, CA. Raintree was formed as a venture between Jeffrey B. Allen and an affiliate of Evergreen Real Estate Partners, a real estate private equity fund with a $1.5 billion equity commitment from a large U.S. public pension fund. Evergreen is managed by a subsidiary of M3 Capital Partners, a global real estate banking, advisory and investment management firm. Raintree was formed in December of 2007. 

Raintree is the successor to J.B. Allen Realty, Inc., a real estate development firm founded in 1999.  Its Chief Executive Officer is Jeff Allen. The company was formed to target multifamily value-add acquisition and ground-up development opportunities initially in Southern California and, then quickly, Northern California. It has the mandate to also acquire and develop office properties on a selective basis as well as to expand into other high-growth west coast markets. Its initial and primary focus, however, is on multifamily opportunities in Southern and Northern California. Raintree’s objectives are to acquire and develop a portfolio of high-quality properties that have attractive long-term prospects for out-performance.
