Croesus and Company

Croesus & Company is the recently established US subsidiary of the Croesus Group, a Tokyo-headquartered real estate asset management company that also has offices in Singapore and Shanghai.

The Croesus Group was founded by Jim Chang in 2004, in order to capitalize on its founder’s extensive knowledge of international real estate markets and their participants.  The company specializes in real estate investment and advisory across all asset types, with a particular focus on providing its clients and investors access to cross border opportunities and investment solutions that would otherwise be unavailable to them or very difficult for them to access.  In this capacity, the Croesus Group has partnered with a number of top-tier institutional and high net worth clients across Asia and the US, and has sponsored investment products in excess of US $3.5bn across the public and private markets.  Prior to forming the Croesus Group, Mr. Chang led the real estate, transportation, and infrastructure investment division for the Evergreen Group, a Taiwanese conglomerate founded in 1968 with interests in shipping, aviation, and real estate, among others. 

Croesus & Company was recently formed as a natural extension of the Croesus Group’s core mission and Asian investors’ increasing appetite for exposure to US real estate assets.  Mr. Chang has teamed with R. David Kelly, with whom he has a long-standing relationship, to launch this initiative.  Mr. Kelly brings to bear a nearly 30-year track record of success in the real estate investment and development businesses. Mr. Kelly will be joined by C. David Boillot, who has extensive experience in real estate private equity and development both in the US and in Asia.
