Thresholds

Established in 1959, Thresholds is the oldest and largest provider of community-based, recovery services for persons with mental illnesses in Illinois. Our mission is to provide those we serve, our members, with the skills and encouragement needed to live productive and fulfilling lives. We offer more than 25 innovative programs at 75 locations throughout Chicago, the adjacent suburbs, and McHenry and Kankakee Counties. Services include: assertive outreach, case management, housing, employment, education, psychiatry, primary care, substance abuse treatment, and pioneering research at the Thresholds Research Institute. Last year, Thresholds served more than 6,700 adults and youth, with 75% of services delivered out in the community.
